Statement of Faith

His Kingdom Reigns

At His Kingdom Reigns, we believe that sound doctrine is foundational to a vibrant and enduring faith. The following statement outlines our core beliefs—truths rooted in Scripture and essential to Christian life and ministry.

The Holy Bible

We believe the Holy Bible, consisting of the Old and New Testaments, is the inspired, infallible, and inerrant Word of God. It is the final authority for all faith, doctrine, and conduct.

(2 Timothy 3:16; 2 Peter 1:20–21; Proverbs 30:5; Romans 16:25–26)

The Trinity

We believe in one eternal God, existing in three persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. These three are co-equal, co-eternal, and fully God.

(1 John 5:7; Genesis 1:26; Matthew 3:16–17, 28:19; Luke 1:35; Isaiah 9:6; Hebrews 3:7–11)

Jesus Christ

We believe Jesus Christ is God the Son, fully divine and fully human. He was born of a virgin, lived a sinless life, performed miracles, and gave His life as a perfect atoning sacrifice for our sins. He rose bodily from the dead, ascended into heaven, and will return in glory.

(John 1:1, 14; 1 Timothy 3:16; Philippians 2:5–6; 1 Timothy 2:5)

Virgin Birth

Jesus was conceived by the Holy Spirit in the womb of the Virgin Mary, fulfilling prophecy and confirming His divine nature as the Son of God.

(Matthew 1:18, 23–25; Luke 1:27–35; Isaiah 7:14)

Redemption of Man

Man was created in God’s image but fell through disobedience. Redemption is only possible through the life, death, and resurrection of Jesus Christ.

(Genesis 1:26–31; Romans 5:12–21)

Regeneration

We believe that spiritual rebirth, or regeneration, is absolutely necessary to know and walk with God. This occurs by the power of the Holy Spirit.

(John 6:44, 65)

Salvation by Grace through Faith

Salvation is a free gift from God, received by grace through faith in Jesus Christ. It is not earned through good works or human effort.

(Ephesians 2:8–9; Galatians 2:16; Romans 10:9–10; Titus 3:5; Acts 16:31)

Repentance

Repentance is turning away from sin and turning toward God. It allows the believer to receive forgiveness, be regenerated, and walk in newness of life.

(Acts 2:21, 3:19; 1 John 1:9)

Sanctification

Sanctification is the ongoing process of becoming more like Christ through the work of the Holy Spirit and obedience to God’s Word.

(1 Thessalonians 4:3, 5:23; Romans 12:1–2; 2 Corinthians 3:18; Hebrews 2:11)

The Blood of Jesus

The blood Jesus shed on the cross is sinless and sufficient for the redemption of all humanity. It cleanses from all sin and breaks the power of death.

(1 John 1:7; Revelation 1:5; Romans 5:9; John 1:29)

Christ Lives in Believers

All true believers are indwelt by Christ through the Holy Spirit. As Lord and Savior, He lives in and through them, empowering a transformed life.

(John 14:17, 23; Romans 8:11; Revelation 3:20)

Baptism in the Holy Spirit

We believe in the baptism of the Holy Spirit as a distinct experience following salvation, empowering believers for bold witness and service.

(Acts 1:5, 2:1–4, 8:14–17; Joel 2:28–29)

Gifts of the Holy Spirit

The Holy Spirit gives spiritual gifts to build the Church and demonstrate the power of the Gospel. These gifts are to be used with wisdom, humility, and alignment with Scripture.

(1 Corinthians 12:1–31, 14:1–40; Romans 12:4–8; 1 Peter 4:10)

The Church

The Church is the Body of Christ and the dwelling place of God through the Spirit. Every believer is a member of this body, united in Christ.

(Ephesians 1:22–23; John 17:20–23; Hebrews 12:23)

Healing of the Sick

We believe that physical healing is part of Christ’s atoning work and is available to all believers today through faith and prayer.

(Isaiah 53:5; Matthew 8:17; James 5:14–16; 1 Corinthians 12:9)

God’s Will for Provision

We believe God desires His people to prosper in spirit, mind, body, and provision to better serve His Kingdom. We acknowledge that the fullness of this may not always be realized in this life, yet we pursue it by faith.

  • Spiritual: John 3:3; 2 Corinthians 5:17
  • Mental/Emotional: 2 Timothy 1:7; Isaiah 26:3
  • Physical: Isaiah 53:4–5; 1 Peter 2:24
  • Financial: Malachi 3:10; Luke 6:38; Philippians 4:19

Resurrection

We believe in the physical resurrection of Jesus and the resurrection of all humanity—eternal life for the redeemed and final judgment for the unredeemed.

(1 Corinthians 15:42–44; Acts 24:15; Revelation 20:14–15)

Heaven

Heaven is the eternal home of those who have placed their faith in Jesus Christ, where they will dwell with God forever.

(Matthew 5:12; John 14:2–3; 2 Corinthians 5:1; 1 Peter 1:4)

Hell and Conditional Immortality

We affirm that eternal life is a gift, not an inherent human trait. God alone possesses immortality. The unredeemed will not suffer eternal conscious torment but will be destroyed in the second death.

  • Immortality belongs to God alone: 1 Timothy 6:16
  • Eternal life is a gift in Christ: Romans 6:23; John 3:16
  • Final judgment results in destruction of the soul: Matthew 10:28; Revelation 20:14
  • “Eternal punishment” is final, not ongoing: Matthew 25:46; 2 Thessalonians 1:9

This doctrine reflects both God’s justice and mercy and clarifies the eternal significance of the Gospel.

Second Coming of Christ

Jesus Christ will return physically and visibly to establish His Kingdom on earth. The timing is unknown, but His return is certain.

(Matthew 24:30; Acts 1:9–11; 1 Thessalonians 4:16–17)

Sacraments and Ordinances

Water Baptism

As a public declaration of faith, believers are commanded to be baptized in water in the name of the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.

(Matthew 28:19; Acts 2:38)

The Lord’s Supper

We celebrate communion as a sacred remembrance of Christ’s body and blood shed for our redemption.

(1 Corinthians 11:23–26; Luke 22:19–20)

Foot Washing

We affirm foot washing as a biblical ordinance symbolizing humility and servant-hearted love, to be practiced at the discretion of local assemblies.

(John 13:1–17)

Conclusion

We believe that Jesus Christ is the hope of the world. He is the only way to salvation, the truth that sets us free, and the life that conquers death. At His Kingdom Reigns, our mission is to declare this Gospel boldly, disciple believers faithfully, and live by the power of the Holy Spirit in love, truth, and holiness.
